King Island Dairy Surprise Bay Cheddar is a full-flavoured Australian aged cheddar made on King Island, Tasmania. Sealed in distinctive red wax and matured for a minimum of 12 months, it develops a rich vintage cheddar flavour and slightly crumbly texture. Ideal for cheese boards, entertaining, sandwiches and cooking, or served with crusty bread, cured meats and chutney. Cheddar has been made on King Island since the 1920s, and this cheese is named after Surprise Bay on the island's rugged south-west coast.
