De Bortoli consistently over-delivers with this refined chardonnay from its Yarra Valley winery. This latest edition continues the tradition. Blended from Yarra Valley, Heathcote and King Valley vineyards, it offers subtle complexity on the nose worthy of chardonnays at twice the price. Melon, stone fruit and attractive praline notes meet the nose and a whisper of old oak is lurking in the background. It's lighter in the mouth than many similarly priced chardonnays, yet its creamy texture and length of flavour give it real presence. It finishes lingering and savoury.
